John 3:16 says that Jesus Christ is the love gift available to anyone who will accept it. If you would like to know how to accept this gift and have a relationship with Jesus Christ, the Bible offers clear direction on how to place your trust in Him.

 

1) Recognize that you are a sinner.

Romans 3:23 states, “…all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” 

We are all sinners and owe a penalty for our sin that must be paid. That penalty is death...eternal death.

 

 

 

2) Realize that Christ gave His life to pay for your sins.

Romans 5:8 says, “…while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Jesus died so that you could live.

 

 

 

3) Receive the free gift of eternal life that Jesus Christ has offered to you.

Romans 6:23 tells us, “…the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ...” 

By faith, place your trust in Jesus Christ and what He did for you on the Cross as the only way to have a home in Heaven.

 

If you've never asked Jesus Christ to be your personal Savior, you could do that right now! With God in your heart, life will make a lot more sense. You could stop right now and sincerely pray something like this: 

 

“Lord Jesus, I believe that You are God, that You died for my sin, and that You rose again from the dead. I know that I am a sinner, and I ask You now to be my personal Savior. I'm placing my full trust in You alone, and I now accept Your gift of eternal life. Thank you for keeping Your promise! Amen.”
